Heavenly Monkey is a private letterpress and binding studio that publishes books inked, printed and bound by hand. There is no overarching theme or plan to what gets published, although the history of printing & related crafts has been an ongoing interest.

All printing is done with a handpress (either a large Ostrander-Seymour Extra Heavy or a Pratt Albion folio) on dampened hand- or mouldmade papers.

Bindings typically feature board and endsheet papers that have been painted, stained or otherwise embellished.

Due to the slow pace of printing and binding by hand (& sheer tedium of the work at times), editions do not exceed 50 copies.
